Special Olympics Utah - Polar Plunge

I was a little disappointed that I did not participate in the annual New Year's Day polar bear tradition.  My polar bear swim consisted of turning the shower as cold as it would go, and then jumping in.

Fortunately, there is still an opportunity for me to put on my Speedo and hop into some icy water!

Today I was reminded of the "Polar Plunge - Freezin' for a Reason" event sponsored by Special Olympics Utah.  The event, which is a fundraiser for Special Olympics Utah, gives guys like me a chance to do something crazy and support a good cause at the same time.  There are actually four events and four different locations:

I have registered for the February 19th event at Deer Creek Reservoir and have set up a donation page with a goal to raise $250.  Obviously I would like to raise more, but I think this is a good starting point.  If you want to see me jump through a hole in the ice and into the frigid waters of Deer Creek Reservoir, please click the link below to sponsor me.
